About Think Mental Health

Think Mental Health is a private clinic operating out of Deakin, ACT. Our private practice services within the Canberra Region include Psychiatry, Psychology and GP. The Think Mental Health team aims to provide excellence in mental health care for all consumers. We endeavour to provide a balance between professional, evidence-based and evidence-informed treatments and a welcoming, personal and supportive environment. Think Mental Health has been commissioned by Capital Health Network (CHN), the ACT’s Primary Health Network, to deliver community services including the Medicare Mental Health Centres in both Canberra city and Tuggeranong, a service to support the mental health of Canberrans experiencing mental health concerns. We have also been commissioned to deliver ThinkWISE, psychological support in Residential Aged Care Homes (RACHs) in the ACT. Think WISE – which stands for Wellbeing Independence Support and Empathy – offers psychological services for individuals in ACT RACHs to help address the needs of this community. We provide user-pay services through our private clinic, and free services via the federally funded Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centres. If you or someone you know is experiencing mental health concerns and needs support via Medicare Mental Health Centres get in touch on 1800 595 212 from 8.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday except public holidays. This is not a crisis service, so we operate during business hours only. For this service, no Medicare card, appointment or referral is necessary.
