About Thornton College School for Girls

Thornton College is a thriving and successful day and boarding school of over 370 students aged 3-18, situated on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. We believe that pupils learn best when they feel happy and secure and we work hard to maintain our nurturing environment. Small class sizes, academic excellence, 25 acres of beautiful grounds, extensive extra-curricular opportunities and outstanding facilities including an eco-park, swimming pool, forest school, state of the art science labs and expressive arts studio enables each student to excel in their learning inside and outside the classroom! We are a Catholic School with a strong Christian ethos. Girls of all faiths and none are welcome and all are individuals of equal importance. Staff work hard with every individual, ensuring that she achieves the best of which she is capable. Our results are outstanding, especially for a non-selective school. We offer day, weekly, termly and flexi boarding places and we provide excellent wrap around care. We operate a front door to school bus transport option exclusively for Thornton girls around the Milton Keynes, Northampton, Buckingham and Bicester areas.
