About Thou Art Here Theatre

Thou Art Here is an artist-driven theatre collective creating audience-engaged immersive experiences. We live and present stories in Amiskwaciwaskahikan (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) on Treaty 6 territory on Turtle Island. Our calling is to make theatre in unexpected places, in unexpected way, for and about the people who are here. We will do this through developing cyclical processes for diversity, inclusion, and sustainability. Our work is based on forming ensembles grounded in the values of community, collaboration, and innovation. Our theatre is authentically and intentionally Edmontonian. We were founded in 2011, incorporated as a non profit in 2021 and became a charity in 2022. Over the past 15 years we have self-produced 40+ productions and theatrical events across Alberta and the country and engaged over 200+ artists. In 2023 we launched our Write Here Immersive Theatre Creation program. In 2024 we premiered "Civil Blood: A Treaty Story" by Josh Languedoc & Neil Kuefler, "Cycle" by Andrew Ritchie.
