Thrombosis UK is the UK's leading #thrombosis charity working to save lives and improve the quality of life for those affected by blood clots. Around 1 in 20 people will be affected by blood clots in the veins (also known as venous thromboembolism or VTE) in their life. VTE is a major cause of preventable death, and survivors often face lifelong health challenges. Since we were founded in 2002, we’ve been committed to saving lives through the earlier identification and treatment of VTE. Our work focuses on: • Raising awareness about thrombosis, its risks and prevention. • Providing education, support, and trusted information. • Supporting research to improve understanding, management and treatment of VTE.
