About Through Women's Eyes

Our mission is to educate and engage to bring about change. We focus our efforts on the root causes of inequality in four areas: women and media, gender-based violence, economic equality, and social norms. We welcome all, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, to join our efforts; we are non-partisan, non-profit, feminist, and pro-choice. Based in Sarasota, Florida, we collaborate with other like-minded organizations to serve our mutual goals and increase our impact, and while our action is locally focused, our commitment to gender equality is international. Among other things, we run the annual Through Women's Eyes International Film Festival (now in its 24th year), a monthly book club, the informal Curious Feminist Social Club, as well as issue-oriented gatherings of all kinds.
