Ti-TaMED / AirWave Engineering is a Manufacturing company established in Cape Town, South Africa in 1996. We service the Aerospace, Medical, Marine, Drones and Mechatronics. We can Prototype or manufacture any high precision components, our factory is certified with AS9100 (Aerospace), ISO13485 (Medical) and ISO9001 (General) Quality Management System standards. We have 3-, 4- and 5-axis milling machines, lathes, multi-axis turning centres and EDM wirecutting capabilities. We specialise in machining with titanium and other exotic materials such as nitronic, 17-4PH, SAF RA2205, 316L, Aluminium 2-, 5-, 6-, and 7-series, AB2, Dixon, Delrin, etc. We can offer various surface finishes such as polished, bead blasted, sand blasted, machine-line and machine-finish. We also offer Laser Marking. The company holds international certifications to manufacture in the specialized controlled fields of implantable medical devices. The Ti-TaMED Spinal Screw Implant System, is manufactured from the highest quality implant grade titanium. We have developed the unique and internationally patented Uniaxial pedicle screw which enables new techniques to be used in posterior and anterior scoliosis correction surgery. Ti-TaMED is continually researching and developing new products and manufacturing techniques to enhance our product range and manufacturing skills.
