About Together with Families

We prevent foster care caused by poverty through personalized support, concrete help, equipping families to lead, and building a loving community that reflects Jesus’ love. Too many children enter foster care because their families are out of money, not out of love. Families are often facing housing instability, unpaid bills, transportation problems, or child care falling through. When those needs go unmet, systems step in. We work to support families before poverty is mistaken for neglect. We are building a community-based ecosystem of support that helps families stay together. We walk with families in a crisis of poverty, meet practical needs, build trusting relationships, and create opportunities for families to lead and support other families. Families are full of strength, dignity, and leadership. When they are supported and equipped to lead, they help build the kind of community that keeps children safely home.
