About Toucan Abroad · Physical Therapy Programs

Toucan Abroad broadens students’ perspectives and helps shape future leaders in physical therapy by immersing them in international clinical environments. Students shadow licensed physical therapists across multiple specialties, gaining exposure to expert patient care while experiencing healthcare systems outside the U.S. Through cultural immersion and hands-on observation, participants develop a more holistic understanding of the profession, themselves, and the world. Beyond earning clinical observation hours, students explore new countries, experience rich local cultures, and build lasting relationships. Toucan Abroad offers a truly distinctive experience that helps PT school applicants stand out through meaningful global and professional growth.
