About Transition Aide: Awareness, Insight, Direction, Empowerment for Women Change-Makers

Trauma that goes unrecognized or unaddressed can cause a great deal of distress to one’s life. While all transitions are challenging, there are some that are more difficult than others and can be quite traumatic. Recognizing this trauma is really important especially if there is a lot at stake for you while making the transition and starting on a new path afterward. Divorce or break-up, especially from a long term relationship, is one such transition. As a trauma-informed coach with a Master’s in Sociology (emphasis on Social Psychology) my goal is to help my clients understand their transition within the framework of trauma and social conditioning. To be happy, one must break the patterns of decision-making that are often created during childhood and are further exacerbated by traumatic experiences as an adult. If you or anyone you know is going through or has gone through a challenging transition, please watch out for future posts on topics that relate to healing and recovering from such transitions.
