About TravelCarpathia

Discover Travel Carpathia - Embrace the Wild, Preserve the Future! Our purpose is to breathe life into Foundation Conservation Carpathia's conservation projects through ecotourism. We offer immersive travel programs that support the preservation of the Carpathian ecosystem. All our profits go towards the conservation work of the Foundation. At Travel Carpathia, we envision a thriving, sustainable economy in and around the Făgăraș Mountains. By promoting green business practices and collaborating closely with local communities, we seek to create a harmonious balance between tourism, nature and society. Whether you wish to experience Carpathia’s wildlife by staying at our eco-friendly hides or at our Biodiversity Farm in Cobor, going on a wilderness adventure or having a tailor-made itinerary, there is a once-in-a-lifetime experience waiting for you. The Carpathian Mountains boast vast contiguous forests, teeming with unique species, including Europe's largest carnivore populations. To protect this ecological gem, Foundation Conservation Carpathia emerged in 2009. It was founded by 12 philanthropists and conservationists with the goal to stop illegal logging, and to protect a significant surface of Carpathian forests in the form of a completely protected area for future generations. Our united vision is to establish a world-class wilderness reserve, covering over 250,000 ha, allowing evolutionary processes to thrive. Our mission involves crafting a new, non-destructive economy around the Făgăraș Mountains, benefiting biodiversity and local communities. Your journey with us directly contributes to this noble cause, ensuring a world-class wilderness, an icon of European conservation, and a cherished National Park for future generations. Embark on an unforgettable adventure, where every step you take paves the way for a greener, sustainable future.
