About Trees for Hamilton

Trees for Hamilton is a charitable organization which plants native trees and shrubs in areas of need in the Greater Hamilton Area. Environment Canada recommends a minimum of 30% tree cover. Hamilton’s current tree cover is 19%. We need more trees! Trees improve air quality, beautify the landscape, and sequester carbon. Ultimately, more trees will improve the health of everyone living and working in Hamilton.
