About Trekking Cougars

Trekking Cougars is a community-driven trekking company built by outdoor enthusiasts who believe in responsible, immersive, and alpine - style adventures. For over a decade, we’ve explored India’s wilderness, with a deep-rooted love for the Himalayas and their raw, untamed beauty. Our journeys are guided by sustainable tourism principles. We consciously minimise our environmental footprint while fostering meaningful connections with nature. At the heart of Trekking Cougars lies a belief in the interconnectedness of all living beings - where adventure, respect, and coexistence go hand in hand. Our Mission: To empower passionate adventurers with safe, responsible, and deeply immersive trekking experiences across India’s most breathtaking landscapes, while respecting local cultures, wildlife, and mountain ecosystems. Our Vision: To be a leading advocate of sustainable adventure tourism in India. To build a global community of conscious explorers. To inspire a generation that values nature, responsibility, and environmental stewardship. Our Social Stewardship: We actively contribute to Himalayan conservation through trail clean-ups, reforestation, and wildlife protection initiatives. We support local communities by partnering with village-run stays, local guides, and small businesses. A portion of every trek directly funds conservation and awareness efforts in the regions we explore. Our Team: Trekking Cougars is powered by a 36-member core team managing operations, safety, logistics, marketing, technology, and customer experience. Supporting them is a flexible network of 150+ certified guides, local experts, and seasonal professionals across India. We also run the Buds Internship Program, onboarding 12 interns every quarter to gain hands-on exposure across departments, nurturing the next generation of adventure tourism professionals. Guided by experienced advisors and strong regional leadership, Trekking Cougars stands for safety, integrity, and respect.
