About Tru-Tain Orthodontic & Dental Supply

Tru-Tain is a family-owned dental and orthodontic supply company based out of Winona, MN. What was originally a ‘small-town’ business landed on the map after our founder, Dr. Lloyd Truax, developed the Tru-Tain retainer in the early 1970’s. The Tru-Tain retainer was released in 1975 and its design still holds up to this day! Since the success of the Tru-Tain retainer we’ve expanded our products to include the most effective dental supplies your dental lab and orthodontic practice can use to thrive. Our scope has expanded from local practices in Minnesota to serving dental service providers nationwide. We provide all of the tools your practice needs including the complete line of Tru-Tain thermoforming plastics technology which allows you to create custom fit trays, retainers, night guards, and mouthguards!
