Nurten Ural, Founding Member and CEO of the Turkish Resource Center stated upon opening the TRC’s Istanbul office: "Our strong connections in the US gave us the opportunity and inspiration to launch our project on the ground in Turkey. We have brought together official delegations, businessmen, and great thinkers in various environments and brought them together for common purposes, but we always felt a shortcoming. We thought ‘likewise, we should have a strong organization in Turkey. There are well-known supporters from academic, economic, and business circles in the United States and other countries - we want to build that same support here. Then we will be stronger; we can create great opportunities for Turkey.’"
