There is no added sugar, preservatives, or additives in the cordial, and it is infused with natural fruit flavours and creates unique mocktails and cocktails. The Double Gold Award for Exceptional Taste bestowed upon Two in a Bush Cordial at the Aurora International Taste Challenge came in recognition of the commitment displayed by the dedicated entrepreneurs who persevered to develop a unique and healthy product. It is recognized as an ‘Often Food’ due to the key ingredient being RooibosTM Tea which is considered a superfood, high in natural minerals, antioxidants, and which is neuro protective, caffeine free, anti-inflammatory, and lowers cortisol. The high-quality standards of Two in a Bush secured accreditation from The Heart and Stroke Foundation of SA, the Independent Halaal Trust, Fair Trade, Smarthealthdiet and Kosher SA. All ingredients are sustainably grown and the RooibosTM tea is brewed with pure water sourced from a mountain spring in the Drakenstein Mountain. Two in a Bush Cordial has been represented at international expos such as the International Food and Drinks (IFE) 2024, London, Summer Fancy Food Show in New York 2024, and during trade visits to Germany in November 2024. The product is currently exported to multiple countries. Through investing their passion and an innovative approach, the creators, Marie-Louise Oosthuizen and Hetta van Deventer-Terblanche, developed and established Two in a Bush Cordial in the global market. The first bottle was developed during lockdown in a farm kitchen. The name refers to the adage “a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush” – be thankful for what you have.
