About TX Career Pathways PDC

High Quality professional development for the State of Texas through a partnership between the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and Restore Education. The Career Pathways Professional Development Center (CPPDC) was created by a federally-funded, statewide governed AEL grant serving 28 Workforce Development Areas. TWC's AEL Division, which is responsible for administering an integrated workforce development system in Texas, manages the CPPDC grant. Under Restore Education and based in San Antonio, the CPPDC is tasked with developing PD services for implementing quality Career Pathway models that support student success and system alignment among Workforce System Stakeholders and improve State performance outcomes for the purpose of economic gain. Through a continuum of services ranging from basic literacy to apprenticeships, Adult Education and Literacy Providers focus on engaging students where they are and removing barriers to offering an accessible pathway into an in-demand career aligned to the student’s strengths and goals. We at the CPPDC support programs as they expand cross-sector partnerships and integration by leading provider cohorts to provide practical, grounded, and responsive PD built on both evidence-based academic models and real-life application.
