About Ukrainian Women Veteran Movement (UWVM) Charity Foundation VETERANKA

Women Veterans Movement – Charity Foundation VETERANKA VETERANKA is the first and largest community of Ukrainian women with military experience, founded by female veterans in 2018. Today, we unite over 1700 veterans, servicewomen, and dedicated volunteers who support one another and advocate for equal opportunities in the security and defense sector. Our Mission We strive to ensure equal rights and opportunities for female service members, increase the visibility of women in the security and defense sector, and promote female leadership in decision-making at all levels of society. What We Do 🔸 Advocacy & Policy Change – We fight for the rights of female service members, ensuring access to leadership roles, equal opportunities, and proper material and technical support in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Our joint advocacy campaign, Invisible Battalion, successfully opened 63 combat positions for women, but much work remains to achieve full equality. 🔸 Support for Defenders & Veterans – We assist those who have served and those affected by Russia’s invasion, helping female veterans transition to civilian life, access benefits, and receive the recognition they deserve. 🔸 Community & Empowerment – With branches and representatives across all regions of Ukraine, we provide a strong support network, mentorship, and essential resources for women who continue to serve or have completed their service. 🔸 Visibility & Leadership – We amplify the voices of female defenders, ensuring their contributions are recognized and their stories are heard. Through media, events, and partnerships, we challenge stereotypes and build a more inclusive security and defense sector. 🤝 Support us and stand with the women who defend Ukraine.
