About Ulster Aviation Society

The Ulster Aviation Society is a Queen’s Award-winning educational charity, ran entirely by volunteers. At our base in Lisburn, Northern Ireland, we house a collection of over 44 aircraft and helicopters, a flight simulator suite, aviation library and exhibits dedicated to aircraft propulsion, the Second World War, local aerospace innovation and many other aspects of flight. Our volunteers restore and maintain our collection, catalogue exhibits, document our story through video and stills, guide the visiting public and publish a monthly journal – and these are only some of the wide-ranging ways you can get involved. It is our goal to preserve the aviation heritage of our province, to tell the story of flight in Northern Ireland and across the island, and to inspire the next generation of aviators and engineers.
