About Understory Cafe

Understory is a trans-owned and operated cafe in the heart of Toronto’s historic and always vibrant Church-Wellesley Village, set to open in Fall 2025. Situated in the queer heart of Toronto, Understory will offer a cozy, quiet third space serving great coffee and a selection of curated wines—but most importantly, we’re about community.
