About Unidas Women’s Network

The Unidas Network was launched on May 28, 2019, with the aim of fostering dialogue between its members to strengthen efforts for women’s rights. Since then, more than 390 members from Latin America, the Caribbean, and Germany, along with nine partner organizations, have joined the network. Since March 2022, Unidas has been under the patronage of German Foreign Minister, Annalena Baerbock. The Unidas Network is part of the German Federal Foreign Office’s Initiative for Latin America and the Caribbean. Unidas' goal is the equal participation of women in politics, society, culture, media, science, and the economy. To this end, Unidas connects and strengthens women and women’s movements in Latin America, the Caribbean, and Germany in their commitment to equality and women’s rights. Through its close ties with Germany’s Federal Foreign Office, Unidas also contributes to Germany’s feminist foreign policy
