The Union aims at protecting the journalists and media workers in Lebanon and defending their rights from the violations and the abuses they are exposed to and which affect: – Their right to decent wages and benefits that ensure a dignified life. – Their right to protection from arbitrary dismissal. – The freedom of their media work and their right to access information. – Their right to protection from security and judicial summons and arrests which are contrary to laws. – Their right to protection from physical assaults and digital smear campaigns. – Their right to a safe work environment free from political pressures and sexual harassment. – Their right to freedom of work and union struggle.
