About United Environmental Services Ltd

UES are a leading independent ecological consultancy operating throughout the UK. We specialise in managing large complex projects, where ecological issues can pose significant risks to development timelines and budgets. We are experts in managing ecological impacts and development risks. We provide a comprehensive ecology service, from baseline surveys to impact assessments, habitat creation and management, and expert witness advice. Our ecologists are experienced in surveying, licensing, and mitigating for a wide range of protected species and habitats. Our ecologists are licenced by Natural England, Natural Resources Wales and Scottish Natural Heritage to survey for bats and great crested newts, members of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), and are also certified by Manchester Metropolitan University and the Botanical Society of Britain & Ireland (BSBI) to undertake preliminary ecological appraisals (aka phase 1 habitat surveys), as well as more complex botanical surveys. UES’ Managing Director, Toby Hart, is also a registered consultants of Natural England’s Bat Mitigation Class Licence (BMCL).
