About United Nations Association of Nigeria (UNA-Nigeria)

The United Nations Association of Nigeria (UNAN) is a non-governmental organization that exist in Nigeria to enhance the relationship between the people of Nigeria and the United Nations to raise public awareness of the UN and its work, to promote the general goals of the UN. UNAN belongs to the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA), a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents. The Nigerian chapter founded in 1959 by Prof. Babs Fafunwa and since then UNAN has been fulfilling her public service commitment activities. At UNAN, we work together to build a better world by strengthening and improving the United Nations through the engagement of people who share a global mindset and support international cooperation . We are poised to Mobilize, Motivate & Educate the entire civil society of Nigeria to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS).
