About United Tennis Organization

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to tennis programs across North Carolina through our mission: Tennis for All. Community for Life! Our work is rooted in the belief that tennis is more than a sport—it is a powerful tool for building confidence, promoting health, and strengthening communities. Our programs are designed to remove financial, social, and cultural barriers that prevent individuals and families from participating in organized sports. We serve children, youth, and adults from diverse backgrounds, with a strong focus on immigrant families, first-generation athletes, and communities that have historically lacked access to affordable recreational opportunities. By offering low-cost and scholarship-supported programming, we ensure that cost is never a reason someone is excluded from the court. We emphasize skill development, teamwork, discipline, and personal growth in a welcoming and inclusive environment. Participants learn not only how to play tennis, but also life skills such as perseverance, respect, leadership, and community responsibility. Our coaches and volunteers are committed to creating safe, supportive spaces where every player feels valued and empowered. Beyond instruction, we work to build long-term community connections. Families are encouraged to engage, volunteer, and grow alongside our programs, reinforcing the idea that participation in sports can create lasting networks of support. Tennis becomes a shared experience that connects neighbors, bridges cultures, and fosters a sense of belonging. As a nonprofit organization, we rely on community partnerships, grants, and donations to sustain and expand our impact throughout North Carolina. Every contribution directly supports programming, equipment, court access, and outreach efforts that allow us to reach more players each year. Through our commitment to equity, access, and community-building, we strive to ensure that tennis is truly for everyone !
