About University of Silicon Valley

Founded in 1887 as California’s first technical college, the University of Silicon Valley (USV) has always been a home for builders, creators, and innovators. Today, USV is reimagining higher education as the world’s first polymathic university—uniting art and engineering, design and data, technology and humanity. Our aspiration is simple yet radical: to form learners capable of consequence—those who shape culture, technology, and society for the common good. Located in the heart of Silicon Valley, USV offers project-based, portfolio-first programs where students learn by doing—developing real solutions for real partners while still in school. Guided by faculty who are active practitioners, students graduate ready to thrive in the world’s most creative and rapidly evolving industries. Learn like the future depends on it.
