About Upp! UpCycling Plastic bv

We produce over 300 million tons of plastic waste worldwide. Less than 10% is being re-used or recycled. Most of the plastic waste is being incinerated with a high carbon footprint and a lot of toxic air pollution as a consequence. And a lot of plastic waste ends up in the oceans, killing fish, birds and even ending up in our food chain. Upp! takes action against plastic pollution. We want to close the plastic circle locally. We want to process your plastic waste into planks and poles to be used for benches, foot-paths or retaining walls in your city. And since our products are durable and 100% recyclable, we can build a circular business as well. Upp! is currently active in the Netherlands and in Vietnam. In both countries we want to complete at least 4 demo-projects before the end of the year, to show our business concept works. In Vietnam we are working on a project with beach-furniture and deck material for a marina that wants to become plastic free. We are working with a project developer to use local plastic waste to make construction materials to be used in a new residential area. And we are involved in a project to get the Mekong Delta plastic-free and use this plastic to make benches, planters, deck for jetties and much more. In Amsterdam, the Netherlands we are making worm-hotels (composting bins) out of recycled local plastic waste. We are also working on vandalism and terrorism proof street furniture for a couple of municipalities. And we want to process North Sea & IJsselmeer plastic to be used at the upgrade of the Icon Afsluitdijk. In 2025 Upp! wants to save 250 thousand tons of plastic from incineration, our environment and our oceans every year. We want to be involved in 10 zero-waste-cities in at least 10 countries. Absolutely necessary to turn the tide on plastics. Ambitious? Indeed. Feasible? With your support we will make it happen. Stop talking, take action. Upp! UpCycling Plastic. Together we'll make our world cleaner & greener.
