About Uppsala stadsteater

Uppsala stadsteaters vision: att vara Sveriges främsta konstnärliga teater – en ny typ av lokal scen med internationella samarbeten. Uppsala stadsteater är ett kommunalt helägt bolag som ingår i Uppsala stadshus AB. I huset arbetar över 30 yrkeskategorier fördelade på cirka 70 fast anställda personer samt ett stort antal visstidsanställda under ett år. Uppsala stadsteater grundades 1951 och har sedan dess haft en betydande plats i svenskt teaterliv. På teaterns fyra scener ges årligen 14-16 egna produktioner tillsammans med svenska och internationella gästspel, för en publik på c:a 70 000 personer.
