About Upstate Freshwater Institute
UFI is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the advancement of freshwater research and improvement of water quality through applied research, monitoring programs, and education. UFI maintains a NELAC/NELAP accredited laboratory that offers a variety of analytical chemistry services to a range of clients including individuals, local organizations, and state agencies. UFI also has an experienced field staff and equipment that are capable of collecting water samples and data at various depths in lakes, reservoirs, rivers, and streams.
