About Urban Ark - Manawa Taiao

Urban Ark – Manawa Taiao is a charitable trust focussed on improving native biodiversity locally. We operate in the Waitematā, Albert-Eden and Puketāpapa Local Board areas of Tāmaki Makaurau. The Urban Ark team supports volunteers and conservation groups working within the area and leads native biodiversity restoration and protection projects. Key activities are inspiring and empowering people to be involved in conservation action, supporting the work of local community conservation groups by providing pest control and ecological restoration expertise and resources, and leading conservation activities in public reserves.
