About Vanderbilt Investment Banking Club

Vanderbilt Investment Banking Club (VIBC) is a student-led organization dedicated to preparing underclassmen for the competitive junior-summer investment banking recruitment process. We combine hands-on technical training with structured recruiting guidance to give members the tools, reps, and accountability they need to succeed. Our program is open to freshmen and sophomores from all majors who are serious about pursuing careers in finance. Through project-based learning, members build and present full DCF and LBO models, track progress with audited networking logs, and deliver weekly market news decks. We also run mock superdays to sharpen both technical and behavioral skills. VIBC emphasizes early preparation—we recognize that winning a junior-summer offer often starts with securing finance experience between freshman and sophomore year, whether in investment banking, private equity, search funds, or related fields. We integrate modern tools, including AI, to accelerate learning and improve output without replacing the core skills firms expect. Every deliverable is deadline-driven, ensuring our members build consistency and resilience alongside technical knowledge. What we offer: - Technical training in valuation, financial modeling, and deal analysis - Recruiting preparation including resume reviews and networking strategy - Access to peers equally driven toward careers in investment banking - A structured, accountability-focused environment to ensure progress Whether your goal is to break into a top bulge bracket, elite boutique, or middle market bank, VIBC is here to help you get there, with no fluff, just actionable training and measurable results.
