About Vanessa Cornell

Vanessa Cornell is a mom of five, writer, and unwavering advocate for women's connection and self-expression. After graduating from Harvard, building a career at Goldman Sachs, and devoting a decade to raising her five children, Vanessa experienced a profound personal transformation, shaped by the challenges of navigating the overwhelm and isolation many women, especially mothers, quietly endure. This path ultimately brought her to her true calling: creating spaces where women can connect deeply, support one another, and step into lives filled with joy and purpose. Vanessa first founded NUSHU, a heartfelt community where women gather to nurture, listen, and reclaim their voices. Through her workshops, retreats, and courses, Vanessa helps women learn (or re-learn) how to listen to themselves and shed guilt, societal pressure, and burnout. She teaches that real connection begins when we dare to listen openly and speak from the heart, sharing what we truly feel and need. Vanessa is also the voice behind Voicenotes From A Friend. In it, she speaks candidly about womanhood in her 40s with disarming humor and raw honesty, where no subject is taboo. Her aim is simple: to let women know they are not alone.
