By embedding ourselves within functional departments and working with individual contributors, we develop a highly customized “value added toolboxes” for sales, marketing and operations teams to deliver, consistently, on the company’s brand promise. The perishability of fresh foods is so sensitive to raw product availability, quality, cold chain management, distribution, and intensive store level merchandising…standard CPG best practices do not neatly apply to the perishable industry. It is a bit like forcing a square peg into a round hole. CPG best practices are at the foundation of Varpet’s program; however, we customize CPG “science” to accommodate the unique challenges facing each of our fresh food partners and their customers.
