About Vatika Animal Sanctuary

Vatika Animal Sanctuary is the largest animal rescue & recovery center based in Chhattisgarh, run by non profit organization People For Animals Society Raipur Unit II. Its an independent registered society working since a decade in the state. When we started this organization we were just 2-3 like minded people who wanted to help animals. Slowly we redesigned what help means to animals, earlier it was feeding, soon it became rescues, then we had to built many temporary spaces for sheltering the needy ones and finally we understood the need of animal hospital and shelter and established Vatika Animal Sanctuary, Chhattisgarh's 1st Animal Rescue Center and shelter. From few volunteers to trained team, the journey has been very very challenging. We focus on building systematic solutions to curb stray dog homelessness, public awareness, training veterinary workforce. Our on-ground work is supported by a growing ecosystem of volunteers, donors, veterinarians, and partners who believe in sustainable, humane solutions. Over the years, Vatika has become more than a shelter—it is a space of healing, learning, and change, where people reconnect with empathy and responsibility towards animals. We invite individuals, organizations, and CSR partners to join us in creating a future where coexistence is not an idea, but a lived reality. Adopt. Support. Collaborate. Be part of the change.
