About Vedanta Kalinga Lancers

Welcome to the official LinkedIn page of the Vedanta Kalinga Lancers, one of the most dynamic teams in the Hockey India League. Representing the rich heritage of Odisha and the unyielding spirit of Indian hockey, the Kalinga Lancers have always been synonymous with skill, teamwork, and determination. Champions of the 2017 Hockey India League, the Lancers were acquired by the Vedanta Group in 2024, and the team remains committed to showcasing top-notch performances and fostering the growth of hockey in India. Rooted in the history of Kalinga, a legendary kingdom in Odisha, the Kalinga Lancers derive their name from the ‘Lances (warriors)’ of Kalinga, symbolising strength, courage, and readiness for battle. Just like the warriors of Kalinga, we bring passion, precision, and perseverance to every match, representing the state’s rich legacy on the national and international stage. With Vedanta’s passion for sports and its dedication to nurturing young talent, the Kalinga Lancers aim to elevate Indian hockey and inspire the next generation. For us, it’s not just about winning, it’s about honouring the game, the legacy, and the pride of Odisha. Pass. Slam. Score. Jazba Jeet Ka! Pride of Odisha 🛞 | @hockey_India_league | #JazbaJeetKa
