About Veterans In the Wild

Our organization offers transformative wilderness trips for veterans and their families, fostering personal growth, resilience, and connection with nature. Our diverse programs include: Veteran Expeditions: Tailored journeys designed to help veterans reconnect with themselves and each other through challenging and rewarding wilderness experiences. Wilderness Marriage: Unique expeditions for veteran couples, providing an opportunity to strengthen their bond and deepen their relationship in the tranquility of nature. Student Veteran: Special programs focused on student veterans, offering a break from academic pressures and a chance to rejuvenate and gain new perspectives. Military Expedition: our original and signature event, designed to foster resiliency and grit in active service members. In addition to these enriching experiences, we provide eight post-expedition coaching sessions to help participants integrate the insights and lessons learned during their time in the wild into their daily lives. Looking ahead to 2026, we are excited to expand our offerings to include Family Retreats, creating opportunities for veterans and their families to reconnect and build lasting memories together in the great outdoors.
