Recognizing the significant gap in financial inclusion in Tanzania, Victoria Finance’s mission is to contribute to narrowing this gap by reaching financially excluded populations with tailor-made microfinance and microinsurance products. Our primary focus is the underserved communities in urban and rural areas starting with initiatives in Dar es Salaam and Mbeya with an ambition to expand across Tanzania. We empower low- and middle-income households, in particular women and the youth, ensuring they have access to the financial resources they require. We also offer products and services targeted at communities often neglected by conventional banks and financial institutions such as Small and Medium Enterprises, (SMEs), and SACCOS. Victoria Finance Plc. (VFP) is a public limited liability company established in 2009 in Tanzania under the Companies Act, CAP 212 of 2002. The company started its operations on May 2, 2010, after acquiring the necessary business licenses to operate as a microfinance institution. Initially known as Victoria Finance Limited, a private limited liability company, it was rebranded to Victoria Finance Plc. on May 5, 2014. VFP's promoters include Victoria Group (VG) through its investment arm VG Holding Company Limited and various individual members. VG is a non-governmental organization founded by members with shared socio-economic interests. VG operates independently of political affiliations or activities.
