About Vitiligo Association of Australia

Vitiligo Association of Australia (VAA) is the national peak body supporting Australians living with vitiligo and visible difference. We exist to improve quality of life, access to care, and social inclusion for people affected by vitiligo through evidence-based education, community connection, medical collaboration and advocacy. VAA works across four pillars: Medical & Research Collaboration We partner with dermatologists, researchers and allied health professionals to improve understanding of vitiligo, support clinical trials, and ensure Australians have access to emerging treatments. Community & Mental Wellbeing Through programs such as Visible & Valued and DermTime, we provide safe, supportive spaces for people and families to learn, connect and feel seen. Awareness & Advocacy We work to shift public perception of vitiligo from a cosmetic condition to a recognised medical and psychosocial health issue. Partnerships & Innovation We collaborate with health organisations, pharmaceutical companies, technology partners and sponsors to fund programs, research and national awareness initiatives. VAA is committed to a future where every person with vitiligo can access care, feel confident in their skin and live without stigma.
