About Vulnerability & Policing Futures Research Centre

We are an ESRC-funded research centre, examining how vulnerabilities are produced, exacerbated and addressed by policing. Hosted by the University of York and the University of Leeds, we research how the police and other services can work together to prevent and reduce vulnerabilities. We bring together internationally renowned researchers and 38 local, national and international partners. By harnessing a wide range of police forces, policing partner organisations, government departments, NGOs and the voices of vulnerable groups, we aim to ensure that public services are integrated and effective, and support vulnerable people and communities.
