Founded in 1994, Watertite was established to help companies understand and better manage their water bills and water consumption. Our mission is simple: we strive to demystify the water industry, helping our customers save water and reduce associated costs. We work with leading private and public sector organisations in the UK and across Europe, including M&S, BP, the Go-Ahead Group, NHS trusts and county councils. By offering an end-to-end solution for managing water - from bill validation to smart metering – to single and multi-site companies, we have secured numerous cash refunds for our customers. The largest refund we secured to date resulted in a £3 million saving for a local authority. On average we save £600,000 per customer. The regulatory changes in April 2017 mean that water retailers now sit between the water wholesalers and the customer. This opens up more choice for customers who can now select their water and waste water services supplier. Retailers can now package up their standard services with additional customer-focused services on top. Despite more choice the industry is still difficult to understand, with annual changes in charges, and multiple tariff structures, water meters or standing charges.
