About We All Need Food and Water (nonprofit)

What makes our nonprofit unique is that, while we acknowledge our extremely challenging times, we choose to embrace a mindset that re-frames our situation. This is also an extraordinary time to be on the planet and influence the direction of civilization! By tapping into our creativity, solidarity, and innovation, we can find connection, joy, and sense of purpose to steer humanity toward the future we want our children to have. The future hasn’t happened, and there’s still time to choose and create the future we want. As our name We All Need Food and Water implies, we value including everyone. We believe we must work to find what unites us rather than focus on what divides us because we truly all need food and water. Securing a livable climate is an all-hands-on-deck situation, and we can’t afford to miss out on anyone’s talent by leaving anyone behind. Combining environmental education and the arts, we will help shift our narrative away from doom and helplessness to comedy and intrigue to re-write our future. We are returning to what has always shaped society—stories. Stories are magical because they can shift a person’s perspective in a way that no other medium can. We specialize in teaching through stories because stories connect with people’s hearts. Once hearts change, minds follow. Stories are also memorable, build familiarity, and allow learners to connect in their own way. The stories we hear and retell shape culture, society—and they also shape the future. Our family-friendly monthly events bring diverse people together to do fun activities and learn new things. To increase accessibility, we provide transportation, special equipment, translation, and food.
