About We Love MCR Charity

Manchester has a proud history of solidarity - of standing up for those who need help. From Peterloo to the Pankhursts, our city gives a voice to the voiceless. We stick together here, too - we know the power of community and know that, as Mancunians, we have far more in common with each other than that which divides us. And the Manchester of today is no exception. We are a bright, vibrant, successful city - but there are still some people who need our faith and support. 4 in 10 of our young people live in poverty. 1 in 10 residents have no qualifications. So in true Mancunian style, we’re coming together to say - We Love Manchester. All of Manchester. The Lord Mayor of Manchester's Charity - We Love MCR is focused on supporting young people to gain the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed. And supporting Manchester communities to celebrate their diversity and find common ground. All the money we raise stays here in Manchester - we are Manchester's charity. If you want to engage with your employees and customers and make a positive impact on communities and young people throughout the City of Manchester, then we would love to hear from you. The Lord Mayor of Manchester for 2025/26 is Councillor Carmine Grimshaw
