About Westbrook Housing

Westbrook Housing is a community-based affordable housing agency. Today, Westbrook Housing owns or manages 763 apartments across seventeen developments with six additional communities in various stages of development. Properties serve a mix of senior and family populations and are subsidized (i.e., Project-Based Vouchers, Project-Based Rental Assistance), affordable Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) properties or market rate apartments. Additionally, Westbrook Housing administers approximately 1,200 Housing Choice Vouchers (formerly Section 8) across Southern Maine. In collaboration with its nonprofit development arm, the Westbrook Development Corporation, Westbrook Housing has developed numerous affordable housing properties, and several properties are in various stages of development as of 2026.
