WeType is a type foundry rooted at the intersection of Western and Eastern cultural heritage. Wherever your center lies, we champion the preservation, evolution, and creation of typographic voices for purposeful designers, brands, and institutions. We shift the narrative by amplifying typographic voices that are too often overlooked. Our process invests deeply in the people and places that inform our work, because we believe type has the power to restore, reflect, and reimagine culture with purpose. WeType was co-founded by John Kudos and David Jon Walker, two designers whose shared commitment to purpose-driven design brought them together across continents and cultures. Rooted in the rich traditions of the East and West, their collaboration reflects a belief in global citizenship—where typography becomes a conduit for dialogue, equity, and expression.
