About What about Dem SRL

What about Dem helps institutions bring citizens into the room where decisions get made. We design and run participatory processes, like citizens' assemblies, deliberative consultations and hybrid formats, connecting them to real political decisions. Not symbolic gestures. Not tick-box exercises. We're talking about participation that leads somewhere. Our work sits at the intersection of democratic innovation and political reality. We help governments, international organizations, and civil society figure out how to make citizen participation work within existing systems with clear mandates, thoughtful design, and concrete follow-up. Founded by Jonathan Moskovic, What about Dem brings together rigorous methodology, hands-on experience, and research-backed insights. We operate across local, national, European, and international levels. Here's what we believe: Representative democracy and citizen participation aren't enemies. They're strongest when they work together. Democracy thrives when institutions create real space for citizens to shape decisions and when those institutions actually listen and act on what they hear. Everything we do is guided by a commitment to inclusion, impact, transparency, and adaptability. Because participation only matters if it leads to change that lasts.
