At What Makes the Difference CIC, we support armed forces personnel, veterans, emergency service workers and their families as they navigate the challenges of transition, wellbeing and life beyond service. Many of the difficulties people face after leaving highly structured service environments are not about capability. They are about navigating a shift in systems, identity and relationships. Our work helps individuals, families and organisations better understand and navigate this transition. Drawing on lived experience alongside evidence-based approaches, we deliver workshops, coaching and practical frameworks that strengthen communication, relationships and resilience. What We Do Empower Individuals We support service leavers, veterans and emergency service personnel through life transitions, stress, and the challenges that can arise during or after service. Through one-to-one coaching, group workshops and practical tools, we help people rebuild confidence, clarity and purpose. Support Organisations We work with employers, charities and public sector organisations to support veteran integration and workforce wellbeing. Our services include: • Workshops on transition, communication and leadership • Veteran workforce integration support • Access to Work guidance for employees managing mental health challenges • Team development and resilience programmes Strengthen Families Service life affects more than the individual. Our family-focused sessions help partners and families improve communication, reduce tension and build stronger support networks. Our Approach We combine lived experience with approaches including Clean Language, coaching and therapeutic techniques such as NLP, Hypnotherapy and IEMT. Our focus is not just on managing symptoms, but helping people understand the deeper patterns that shape behaviour, relationships and wellbeing.
