About Whitebark Institute

We are a non-profit interdisciplinary research institute dedicated to innovative environmental problem-solving. We work on forest ecological restoration, implementation of forestry treatments, and education and outreach to the public. We aspire to facilitate projects and support organizations that sustain environmental health for the economic stability of our community. The Whitebark Institute is the lead organization for the East Side Regional Forest and Fire Capacity Program (RFFCP) and the Eastern Sierra Climate and Communities Resilience Project (ESCCRP).
