About Wigtown Festival Company

Literary arts organisation based in Scotland's national book town. We run the Wigtown Book Festival each autumn; a 10 day festival bringing a renowned cast of authors to the idyllic landscape of Galloway. Our projects include writer development for the region, Wigtown Poetry Prizes and the Anne Brown Essay Prize. Our events for children and families include Big DoG Children's Book Festival, the BigWig programme and the Big DoG School's Tour. We run Number 11, a year-round bookshop and The Open Book, an Airbnb experience where visitors can run their own bookshop.
