About Wind Academy South Africa

Wind Academy is a collective of highly educated and experienced consultants, facilitators, trainers, engineers, and entrepreneurs with extensive knowledge in the renewable energy industry sector. Values At Wind Academy, we aim to promote awareness and understanding of climate change-related issues and renewable energy sources. We provide educational content around renewable energy and sustainability and offer renewable energy training courses, as well as specialised leadership and skills programmes. We have an authentic approach to addressing the needs of our learners and clients through education and skills development applicable in the renewable energy sector which empowers and uplifts individuals (and their communities) at the same time. We subscribe to the following principles: • Learn, grow, and focus • A culture of discipline • Making an impact on our learners, so that they, in turn, impact the world they live in • Delivering results—both professional and personal • Earning trust through unquestionable work ethics and integrity We support innovative work that seeks to protect both the environment and affected communities. We focus on places where we’ve built connections through constructing hundreds of wind turbines, and through our network, nationally and internationally. We believe in: • Creating solutions and digital programmes to improve education through early learning development; • Energy interventions that provide rural communities with greater energy independence; • recycling and agricultural programmes at local schools which emphasise waste reduction, which in turn promotes responsible actions that make a real difference; and • Professional development to meet the demands of technology integration, personalised learning, and remote education. “The team at Wind Academy has installed over 700 wind turbines, we have witnessed firsthand the dire need in rural areas in our country for these programmes.”
