About Wines We Drink
Every bottle of wine has its own story to tell, and this podcast - Wines We Drink - is where we tell those stories. This is a summer project where we explore our love of wine. In each episode we open a bottle of wine we drink and talk about the wine through its tastes and textures. A bottle of wine is the complex result of grapes, soil and climate coming together through the skills of the grape grower and the winemaker. The French use the phrase "terroir" to capture all that makes a bottle of wine unique. Our podcast embraces the idea that a bottle of wine transports our senses to the vineyard. We hope our conversations will help transport your senses to places like California's famous Napa Valley, Oregon's Willamette Valley, France's many lush wine regions, Italy's steep hillsides, or the garden that is South Africa's Western Cape.
