About Woking Cougars Football Club

About Woking Cougars FC Founded in 1991, Woking Cougars Football Club is a registered grassroots football charity based in and around Woking, Surrey. Today, Woking Cougars is one of the largest grassroots youth football clubs in the South East, supporting over 500 children aged 4–18 through a structured, development-led football pathway. Our teams train weekly and compete regularly throughout the season, providing consistent, high-quality football experiences for young players across the local community. The club exists to provide access to football in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment, with a strong emphasis on player wellbeing, confidence and long-term development — on and off the pitch. Woking Cougars is run entirely on a voluntary basis by a dedicated Board of Trustees, management committee and coaching team. All coaches are DBS checked, Safeguarding Children in Football certified and First Aid trained. Every age group is supported by at least one FA Introduction to Coaching Football or UEFA C qualified coach, ensuring appropriate standards of coaching across the pathway. Our teams are open to both boys and girls, with a mixed-gender approach in the younger age groups, and we work closely with families, schools and community partners to support players at every stage of their journey in the game.
